3 Tips for Healthy Singing
August 2, 20173 Tips for Healthy Singing
Healthy singing is what will keep your voice safe and usable well into your old age. If you abuse it you will lose it. Here are a few tips on healthy singing.
1) Keep hydrated
At the point you are thirsty, you are already dehydrated, so keep drinking plenty of water, and, right before singing, avoid things that cause dehydration such as alcohol, coffee, saunas, salty food and so on.
2) Don’t strain:-
When you get it right, singing feels really good. If you can feel any discomfort at all when you’re singing, your technique is not healthy. Don’t ever strain or force your voice. If you find yourself straining, stop, swallow, yawn, and try again with less force.
3) Exercise regularly:-
Your voice is muscle. The more you exercise it, the stronger it will get and the better it will sound. Do vocal exercises regularly, not just singing songs, to get the best out of your voice.
