5 Singing Tips
May 9, 2020- Being dehydrated makes everything more difficult. Drink plenty of water at all times. Don’t wait until your rehearsal time to drink some water 💦
- Do some exercises little and often. Don’t just sing songs. A couple of minutes sirening two or three times a week will help keep your voice in better shape 🚨
- If you’re conscious of making too much noise when exercising at home, use a hum or a closed ‘Zz’ 🐝 sound rather than open vowels. You still get many of the benefits from exercise with much less noise💥
- Sing wherever you have the time and the privacy – the shower 🚿 and the car 🚘 are popular choices – but if you can supplement that with a little focused practice, standing and concentrating, you’ll make faster progress 💨
- Take one minute to stretch and centre yourself before you plough on with exercises. Roll your shoulders, stretch your neck and perhaps focus on your breathing for 30seconds before you start. You’ll get better and more consistent results, and that will happen faster 🎵
