Being a beginner guitarist can be hard. It can be painful and frustrating, and you can feel like you’re getting nowhere fast.

Group beginner guitar lessons can help you to appreciate that it is not just you that feels like that, and there are plenty of other players who are struggling. Once you get over that first hump, playing the guitar is wonderfully fullfilling. It is portable, sociable and a great deal of fun. Learning to play in a group can help you stay motivated, and you also make friends with people with similar interests. Many Igloo clients play together outside of their classes with people they have met a groups or social events. Our beginner guitar lessons are really designed to help you learn what you need, in order to do what you really want to do. For some people that is playing for their own pleasure, for some people that is songwriting, for some people that is strumming through some songs with friends and family, going to open mic nights and jam sessions. Although learning guitar is hard in the very first hours, you do not need to learn a lot to be able to start enjoying some of these things. It doesn’t matter if you don’t read music, or if you didn’t enjoy music at school as a child. You really can start from the beginning, and learn what you need to enjoy music for yourself, whatever form that takes for you personally.
