Playing a musical instrument with a group is a great way to lift mood and be part of something. Whether online or in person, Igloo Band sessions are fun, sociable and interactive. We are particularly looking for a couple of people who would be interested in joining our Baritone Ukulele Section so do please get in touch if you’re interested in learning how to play.
Online Sessions
During lockdown we have
- learned new songs
- had online jam sessions
- made music videos like this
- worked on remote recording projects
There is still plenty to do to keep busy and connected to your band mates.
When it is safe to do so we have
- had jam nights and rehearsals in the car park,
- small group sessions and section practices (ie: guitars only/ ukulele only)
- had recording sessions in the studio
So you are continuing to develop your skills and contribute to the band sound.
Supporting our community
Ordinarily, we play at a variety of community and charity events throughout the year. 2020 saw us continue to support our local community. We offer music videos and online streaming for charity fundraisers and people living in residential care. You can offer a huge amount of good feeling to others through this group.
