We offer music videos and online streaming for charity fundraisers and people living in residential care. DESCRIPTION:Whilst all adult learners are welcome\, this new group is for retirees who have tinkered with a bit of ukulele\, guitar or singing and would like to get together in an informal fashion to play with others with the view to improving on their instrument. \nThese sessions will feel like jam sessions\, but supervised by an experienced tutor who can share hints\, tips and advice as we go along. \n“Being in a group makes you play through your mistakes and spend less time on things you’ve done wrong” Jolyn \nBy playing with other people\, individual players improve their sense of timing\, widen their chord knowledge\, and share in the joy of making music with other people. \nThese sessions are focused on learning through playing songs\, rather than formal class structure. \nAll music will be supplied. Suitable for improver level and above. \nMembership to this group will be £25 a month in the future\, however this taster session is offered at £12.50 to see if you like it!

DESCRIPTION:The ukulele is a lovely\, small\, accessible\, portable instrument\, that brings a smile to your face when you play it. If you are a total beginner and would like to take the first steps slowly\, then give this group a try. This Beginners’ Ukulele Group Course is a series of 6 fun and instructive 1 hour sessions for adults. \n More information about this course \nGroups are small with a maximum of 8 beginners in any one class. Beginners only are permitted onto this course and assessed for suitability before signing up\, so you will be in the company of people of the same standard to you. \nFull Course Dates are:- \nSaturdays 11.45-12.45 online via zoom. \nSession 1  – Nov 7th \nSession 2  – Nov 14th \nSession 3 – Nov 21st \nSession 4 – Nov 28th \nSession 5 – Dec 5th \nSession 6 – Dec 12th \nThis course will be on zoom and being recorded. SUMMARY:Songwriting Workshop (1/2 day) (adults)
DESCRIPTION:Songwriting is a very fulfilling and cathartic activity\, and you do not need to be a musical genius to get those benefits.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe have space for 5 people for this workshop in the following format. \n1-2pm – workshop with tutor in our outdoor space (please dress appropriately! It’s waterproof but may be chilly! Please bring face coverings if you can) \n2-4pm – each songwriter will have their own private space on site to write. Tutor will circulate to answer questions / give feedback / bring tea/coffee during this time. (One of these spaces is outdoors – please let us know if you are ok with this). Challenges and worksheets are available to help with this section if you would like guidance. \n4-5pm – song-sharing workshop – each member will present the afternoon’s ideas to the rest of the group for everyone to discuss and give feedback. \nNo previous experience necessary\, just willingness to give it a go! \n
