5 Ukulele Tips
May 9, 2020- If you’re new to the uke, practice little and often. This is good for your fingers ☝️ and your brain 🧠 to consolidate new skills.
- Have a go at a wide variety of songs. There’s always something to learn from every piece of music 🎶
- Leave your ukulele out somewhere where it’s convenient to pick up and play. You’ll nibble away at it much more than if you keep it locked safely away in its case on top of a wardrobe 🔐
- Sit in a comfortable position where you’re not holding your wrist at an awkward angle. This will make it easier to fret your chords cleanly and sound better 👂 ✅
- Practice playing at a consistent speed – fast or slow doesn’t matter – just practice keeping at a steady tempo. Your songs will sound much more like music much quicker ⏰
