Calling Singers, Bassists and Percussionists.. Join The Big Igloo Band!

We are looking for members to join our new group – The Big Igloo Band – a band formed from the Igloo Guitar and Ukulele Group. This group has developed to the point where we can go out and perform as a gigging band, so we are looking to fill roles in the group to enhance the sound further. All new members need to be assessed for suitability, as we can only take on people who are able to commit to the group. Ability is less of a problem – you will be trained as necessary – however we do ask that you show an interest in performing and playing live. We intend for the band to be out playing approximately 6-12 times a year in its entirety.

Bob Cheshire, long standing member of the Igloo Community, has been appointed Band Leader to assist DiElle as Band Director. We are very excited about taking this group to the next level.

We are looking to interview :-

2 regular bass players
2 regular percussionists
6 regular lead singers
New guitarists and ukulele players are welcome, of improver/intermediate level and above.

Membership of this group will be £15 a month on standing order, and we will rehearse twice a month in Havant from 7.30-9pm.

We already have gig enquiries for 2015 and are getting more all the time for weddings, music festivals and local events – it’s going to be exciting!
