I would love to learn to sing but I don’t know where to start…

April 27, 2026

It’s something I hear all the time.

  • “I’d love to sing… but I’m not confident.”
  • “I don’t think I can learn to sing”
  • “I think I’m tone deaf.”
  • “I don’t want to embarrass myself.”
  • “I sound like a strangled cat.”

And the truth is — most adult beginners feel exactly the same.

Not because they can’t sing…
…but because they’ve never been shown how.
Singing is a skill you can learn. Don’t believe me? Give me 6 hours to change your mind.

Learn To Sing (It’s Not a Talent You Either Have or Don’t)

Somewhere along the way, many of us picked up the idea that singing is only for “naturals”.

But singing is actually a set of learnable skills:

  • How you breathe
  • How you support your voice
  • How you shape sound
  • How you approach notes (especially higher ones!)

When you understand these things, everything starts to feel easier… and more enjoyable.

A Starting Point That Actually Makes Sense

That’s exactly why I created Get Singing.

It’s a 6-session course designed specifically for adult beginners — people who want to learn properly, but in a way that feels relaxed, friendly, and doable.

You get:
✨ 3 group sessions – so you’re learning alongside others and building confidence together
✨ 3 x 55-minute 1:1 sessions – so you get personal guidance tailored to your voice

This combination is where the magic happens.

You’re not just “having a go” — you’re actually understanding what you’re doing whilst you learn to sing and improving week by week.

It’s Not Just About Technique

Of course, we cover the basics:

  • Singing without strain
  • Improving tuning
  • Reaching higher notes more comfortably
  • Developing a better sound

But just as importantly, something else happens…

People start to relax.
They start to enjoy it.
They start to believe “maybe I can do this”.

And that shift is huge.

What Happens After the Course?

For many people, learning to sing is just the beginning.

Once you’ve built that foundation, there are lovely ways to keep going:

  • Friendly group classes to keep your voice in shape
  • A welcoming choir for singing together, socialising, and optional performances
  • A chance to meet like-minded people and be part of something

It becomes more than just learning to sing — it becomes a creative outlet, and a community you can belong to.

Starting 20th May

If you’ve been thinking about learning to sing, this is a really good place to begin.

No pressure.
No judgement.
Just a supportive environment where you can learn, improve, and enjoy your voice.
If you’re ready to give it a try, I’d love to help.

Get Singing starts 20th May

Learn to Sing with Confidence – No Experience Needed

  • You don’t need to be “good”.
  • You don’t need to be confident.
  • You don’t need to have all the answers before you get here.

You just need to be willing to be instructed to learn to sing.

And you might be surprised at what your voice can do.
