When music hits you, you feel no pain..
September 30, 2016The wise man Bob Marley once said “when music hits you, you feel no pain”. Listening to music, playing an instrument and singing releases dopamine which makes people feel good. In the ever increasing world of stress and tension we live in today, with even our kids being more stressed at school than ever from a young age, music can be a fantastic release. Learning an instrument can be a very satisfying way for children and adults to socialize, embrace their creativity and release stress.
Here at Igloo Music UK in Wickham we offer a range of activities for adults and children to experience playing an instrument or singing. Drumming is a great way to release stress, singing in a choir is a lovely way to meet new people and be part of a creative community, playing the ukulele is a fabulous way of tapping into the world of music for the first time as an adult. We pride ourselves in taking a personal approach, tailoring private lessons to the needs and tastes of each individual, taking time and budget into consideration, to create a fulfilling pathway for the individual. Private lessons are available for drums, bass, electric and acoustic guitar, piano, keyboards, ukulele, singing and songwriting. Adult group activities are available for electric and acoustic guitar, bass guitar, singing and ukulele.
We enjoy performing for the community at local events such as the Christmas Lights Switch On in Wickham Village, and the Naomi House Bauble Hunt and Hundred Acres, as well as a variety of other events through the year.
