The Diversity Of Community Singing

It will come as no surprise to you that we love singing, here at Igloo. It was the first thing we taught and continues to bring huge joy to many of us who take part. This picture is of just a few of the singers who have come through our doors.

Back in April, we ran a ‘Vocal Variety Workshop’ consisting of 4 different types of singing from Musical Theatre to Sea Shanties, and we had over 40 people attend, from all different kinds of groups. 

Nowadays you can join a rock/pop choir, world music, barbershop, gospel – so many different kids of groups. 

We have started a public Facebook group to get to know each other better and discuss all things group singing. The purpose of this initially is to get to know each other and celebrate the diversity of group singing in our community.
