Ukulele Playing For The Stroke Assosication

  We were invited to go yesterday to a social group meeting for local stroke patients, organised voluntarily by a kind hearted stroke survivor Mary. 

The group asked us to talk about the ukulele, and a few members of the band were able to come also, so we played for them also. 

It was wonderful to see so many of the group join in singing and playing persuasion with us. Several members had the use of only one hand, but played tambourines and shakers with musicality and joy! The ‘la la’ chorus of ‘Alberta’ was the best audience participation we have seen yet!

We are looking forward to going back in the autumn for a percussion workshop and more noise making!
