Bass Guitar Clinic – The 21st Century Bassist

Igloo Music proudly present a wonderful opportunity to attend our latest Bass Guitar Clinic – Technology & Extreme Sounds. Hosted by UK session supremo and Igloo bass tutor Chris Wood, this clinic will introduce you to the techniques, sounds and new equipment available to the gigging and recording bassist in the 21st century.

Chris has been a well-respected professional bassist on the UK and European music scene for many years and has performed and recorded with many A-list artists all around the world.

During this 1 hour clinic, Chris will be talking about and demonstrating the following topics:

Slap bass techniques.

New products – string mutes, Fump.

Effects – selection & use, old vs new technology.

5 & 6-string bass guitars and extended range basses.

There will be some time at the end of the clinic to quiz Chris about the clinic itself, Chris’ career or anything bass-related. Chris is an engaging and entertaining host who is full of stories and tales from his life on the road.

Whether you are a working bassist who is looking to expand your arsenal and discover new techniques and products or whether you have already dipped your toe into the world of effects and extended range instruments but would like to know more, this clinic is for you.

This Bass Guitar Clinic is open to bassists of all levels as well as non-bassists who may have an interest in the instrument and the many sounds and techniques being used on their favourite recordings.
